(117) Start a Puff Snacks Making Plant

 Introduction


 
The cereal single extruding puff snacks are manufactured mainly with rice or corn grits, and it can combine with wheat, oat, beans or starch to modify the hardness and taste. The raw material are pass through the extruder with high temperature and pressure at screw extruding function to get gel raw material and get through the die. It is expansion on release the pressure .it will have 3-4 time volume and many small air holes filling on the texture that is feature of this products. .
There are completely automatic and semi-automatics production lines, which are very easy for operation and high efficiency. Various tastes are available for market. Also source of raw materials are taking easy, with simple producing layout line, high efficiency and inexpensive invest of equipment for an investor.
2 General Processing Information

2.1 Flow Chart & Description of Manufacturing Process
2.1.1 CORN (OR RICE) PUFF SNACK LINE (DRY TYPE)


Explanation: Taking raw material of corn (remove peel and embryo) or rice are milling to 20~25 mesh .
2.1.1.1 HUMIDIFIER:
Put the rice and corn with water to 17% moisture content, and add modified starch or other starch to adjust tastes.
2.1.1.2 GRAIN PUFF MACHINE:
Adjust the material of moisture content than putting on the hopper of grain puff machine, than heating up the die to 120° C. Feeding the fixed amount material to extruding tube by screw feeder. The raw material are passing through the extruder with high temperature and pressure at screw extruding function to get gel raw material and get through the die. It is expansion on release the pressuring. It will have 3-4 times volume .it can cutting various size by cutter and adjust outlet type of die to producing various products. Ex. dragon, cashew, flower, ball, tube…etc types.
2.1.1.3 (STORAGE TANK WITH CONVEYOR):
Taking Semi-finished goods to storage’s conveyer then through conveyer to send a fixed amount in producing process.
2.1.1.4 CONVEYOR:
Sending semi-finished goods from storage tank to Rotary Oven.
2.1.1.5 ROTARY OVEN:
Add around 17% of moisture content from raw material, after Puffing and extruding the goods still have a little moisture content which must continue to keeping drying to 2 % becoming finished products.
2.1.1.6 CONVEYOR:
To Seasoning Machine
2.1.1.7 SEASONING SPRAYER:
Sending semi-finished goods of fixed amount by conveyer to Seasoning Machine, while oil sprayer is ready of hot oil to waiting come in semi-finished goods spraying at same time. There have adjusting equipment to control of spraying oil amount. And then spray flavor powder on the surface of goods that is operation through a rotary tank mixer to become finished goods.
2.1.1.8 PACKER:
The finished goods can be packed various sizes to suit for the various marketing, through choice different packing paper to keep 1 year time-limit.

2.1.2.1 HUMIDIFIER:

2.1.2.3 CENTER FILLING EXTRUDER:
Putting on the pre-mixing center cream as chocolate, coconut, peanut and strawberry on Center filling extruder mixer tank, and heating, mixing. After Grain Puff machine is starting of extruding. Taking the filling pipe to extruder’s die hole and keep the feeding speed and pressure well.
2.1.2.4 RICE CRACKER FORMER:
The extruding rope products come through the former cutter to cutting various size. It also can change roller of former cutter to get various shapes ex. biscuit, center fill rice cracker, rope tube and others.
2.1.2.5 CONVEYOR:
Semi-finished are through convey sending to sprayer machine.
2.1.2.6 SPRAYER MACHINE:
The semi-finished products are through conveyor sending to sprayer and sharing between on oven, it’s making more well mixed while in process of oven.
2.1.2.7 SINGLE DRYER:
Putting the finished center filled through oven’s up and down layers of infrared rays heating, it will make caramel on surface of center filled to bring a nature scent of rice.
2.1.2.8 CONVEYOR:
Sending of center filled with baked to seasoning machine for flavor.
2.1.2.9 SEASONING SPRAYER:
Sending semi-finished goods of fixed amount by convey to Seasoning Machine, while oil sprayer is ready of hot oil to wait coming semi-finished goods spraying at same time. There is a button to control of spraying oil amount. Then spray flavor powder on the surface of goods through a round bucket of seasoning mixes by rotary type to become finished goods.
2.1.2.10 PACKER:
The finished goods can be packed various sizes for market, through choice different packing paper to keep 1year time-limit.

Sending semi-finished goods with seasoning jam to 5 layer oven from storage tank.
2.1.3.9 5-LAYER DRYING OVEN:
Putting Semi- finished center filled with full seasoning jam through 150°C oven’s after taking around 20~30 minutes. This oven must be strong hand of good circulation with well
mixed temperature which can met temperature ±1℃.
